When 12 years old Beau Dermott walked on the stage of Britain’s Got Talent in 2016, she was quite nervous and shy. Yet, when she started to sing “Defying Gravity” from the popular musical Wicked, no one could breathe. Everyone was wondering how such a little girl could sing such a difficult song and nail it. Amanda Holden was so blown away that she couldn’t help but push the golden buzzer for Beau.
Beau Dermott is no doubt very talented and has really great voice, however, after her audition went viral all over the world, some people started getting concerned about her background. They are claiming that she has been voice-training for years and it was not mentioned in the audition. But according to her dad, Beau was only trained by amateur theater group Stage Pro and only once every three months.
All the controversies don’t change the fact that Beau is really talented and she deserves to be on BGT. And plus what difference does it make? The real thing that should matter is her talent, isn’t it? What are your thoughts about Beau? Let us know in the comments!
