“Nearer, My God, To Thee” is a very motivational piece of music which was written in 19th century by Sarah Flower Adams. It is loosely based on the story of Jacob’s dream from the bible. Even though this music of hope and faith was popular from the very beginning of its creation, it apparently gained more popularity when it was sung during the fall of Titanic in 1912.
This video below features a stunning rendition of this song, “Nearer, My God, To Thee” which is delivered by BYU vocal point and BYU men’s chorus. With their strong voices and amazing talent, they cover this song in a poignant and harmonious a cappella performance. Every moment of this song is breathtaking! This song is apparently BYU Vocal Point’s bestselling song on iTunes as well.
