Past year we heard a lot of negative headlines about the police force. But this story teaches us not to follow the stereotype that negativity. When Robert Wood returned to Alaska with his two young sons and his pregnant wife, he still hadn;t found a place to live; so they decided to sleep in their car itself to save some much needed cash.
It was a cold night. When Eugene Police Lt. David Natt saw the car at a public park, he started knocking on the door. He saw Robert’s four 4 year old son sleeping on his chest. His wife Heather was pregnant and their two year old son Logan sleeping on her. Then Natt did something truly inspirational and beautiful for the Wood family. He offered the family two nights at a hotel in conjunction with the University Fellowship Church in Eugene.
