Elvis Presley was not just famous singer in the music industry he was also a great humanitarian. His last performance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1957 was beautiful and honest. He had dedicated this performance to the people of Hungary who were suffering because of the 1956 anti-Soviet revaluation. His devotion towards humanitarian activities can be seen clearly through this show.
During the time of this performance, Elvis Presley was going through some controversies regarding his evocative dance moves. So in this final appearance on the show, he was filmed from the waist up so as to not to offend any viewers at home. Right after the performance, Ed Sullivan praised Elvis for his kind heart and urged the viewers at home to support the Hungarian cause.
