Chris Montez recorded and released “Let’s Dance” in 1962, when he was only 19 years of age. Written and produced by Jim Lee, the song ended up gaining the 4th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and the 2nd spot on the UK Singles Chart. The timeless classic sold more than a million copies and was also granted a gold disc.
There were many amazing artists in the 60s. Montez was one of them. In fact, he was so famous that even the Beatles opened three of his concerts for him while he was touring with Tommy Roe. The dance moves from the 60s were also some of the best the world has ever seen. Just take for example, the incredible teenagers dancing in the video below.
