Sometimes some songs sound best when it gets beautified with a child’s talent. Michael Martin Murphey realized this fact when he was going to perform “What’s Forever For” during the MuzArt World Foundation performance in 2014. To fill the absence of a child’s voice, he called Lexi Walker onstage to join him for the song. And once they started to sing, I couldn’t take my eyes off them.
This song, “What’s Forever For” was written by Murphey back in 1978. But at that time, he probably had no idea how he would be using it today. This self-proclaimed old cowboy has been in a lot of big stages over the past decades, but it was this little girl who made him remove his hat for the following very special performance.
Lexi Walker is just 11 years old and is very popular for her enchanting voice. Watch her sing this classic besides a legend in the video below.
