Produced and directed by Howard Hawks in 1959, “Rio Brave” is considered to be one of the most legendary American Western movies ever created. It featured artists like John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Walter Brennan, Angie Dickinson, and Ward Bond. Said to be “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress, this classic has even been picked for preservation in the National Film Registry.

The movie had three different songs, one of which was “My Rifle, My Pony And Me”. The song was sung by Dean Martin and is considered as one of the Top 100 Western Songs of All Time by the Western Writers of America.
