Swimmer’s Syndrome is a rare developmental disorder in puppies and kittens. An animal with that condition is born with legs that are splayed laterally. This leaves them unable to walk or move. Breeders who get puppies with Swimmer’s Syndrome usually put them down. Such puppies can’t be sold, so they are put down instead.
Casper the white husky was almost about to go through the same thing. His breeders were very close to euthanizing him. Thankfully, a kind lady came to the rescue. She intervened and took the pup home with her. He was very weak, and she was not sure if he would be able to make it through the night. The next day, he was much brighter. After months of therapy, Casper finally learned how to walk again! He is now fully grown and happy!
