Soon after the end of World War I, women of 1920s started to revolt against the old traditional practices and social values. They started to experience the independence and were often termed as flappers. The most important part of their freedom was dancing and one of the most popular dance style back then was called the Charleston. It originated from the African-American dance Juba and it has some of the craziest dance steps I’ve ever seen.
