We have all heard Garth Brooks’ one of the biggest hits “The Dance”. It was recorded and released in 1990 as the tenth and final track from his self-titled debut album. It was awarded the #14 position in the CMT 100 Greatest Songs of Country Music broadcast in 2003 and also the #5 position on the network’s The Greatest: 100 Greatest Music Videos special in 2004.
Yet, it was not until Scotty McCreery’s rendition of this classic hit at the stage of the Grand Ole Opry back in 2012 that I found myself speechless. He didn’t just sing the song, but made the song his own with his epic performance. I could listen to it whole day and would still want to listen to it again and again.
