The sound of thundering motorcycles fills the streets of Washington D.C. as hundreds of riders drive into the US Capital for the yearly Rolling Thunder Ride For Freedom. With his makeshift memorial, Marine Corps Veteran Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers stands at attention in the middle of the street while the motorcycles drive past him. He has been a part of this tradition for years now.
Sgt. Chambers and the supporters of this cause are trying to bring to attention the plight of military veterans, prisoners of war, and those soldiers and people still missing in action. Sometimes the bikes go round him, and sometimes they stop to return the salute. It may seem small, but this gesture is incredible powerful as it reminds us the heroic acts of those brave soldiers.
