Vince Gill Broke Down When He Sang THIS Classic At George Jones’ Funeral. I’m In Tears Too!

The honoring program at the Grand Ole Opry for the funeral of George Jones on 2nd May, 2013 turned out to be a very emotional one. It became heartbreaking especially when Jones’ dear friend and ardent fan Vince Gill started to break down while performing a song in his honor.

While singing the song “Go Rest High On That Mountain” along with Patty Lovelace, Vince couldn’t help but choke. He was drowned in the thought of Jones. Even though he couldn’t sing because of the lump in his throat, he continued playing his guitar. This emotional moment brought the whole room to tears. In the video you can see how everyone on the audience rose to their feet in the honor of Jones as Vince sang for him.
