Many people lost their lives during World War II and many lost their loved ones. There were soldiers who sacrificed their lives and youth for our sake, so it is natural for us to respect and honor them. But when World War II veterans arrived in Washington DC to visit the WWII Memorial in May of 2012 something unbelievable happened. What was captured in the airport is still leaving everyone with teary eyes.
Before the WWII veterans who were visiting the memorial could land, the flight attendant announced over the intercom that the veterans would be arriving shortly and encouraged the travelers in the airport to greet them. Few minutes later when WWII veterans walked from the door, a lot of people gathered around and started cheering for them. Watching the smile on these veterans’ and passerby’s faces surely made my day.
