What happened on a recent flight from Germany to Houston is still fresh on the mind of every passenger. All the people on board got a chance to witness something incredible – a great moment of American patriotism. The pilot got on the speaker and instructed people to remain where they were when the plane landed. An Army private was escorting the remains of a fallen soldier.
To say their thanks to the soldier, a group of students started singing a song. Diane Cupp recorded the impromptu song as it happened, and uploaded it to Facebook with the following caption:
“On our flight from Germany there was a Army private in uniform that so happen to be escorting the remains of a WW11 Soldier back home to Houston . The pilot announced he would be exiting the plane first, as he got up to leave there were a group of young people who had been on tour in Europe all of a sudden they broke out singing Glory Hallelujah. Listen how beautiful !! Will bring a tear to your eye.”
The student choir sang “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” also called “Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory.” The respect that they managed to show was incredible.
